Toys R’ Who?

Another successful morning class! I changed tact and got the girlz enthralled with a Disney English video for twenty minutes. That curbed their usual romp and pomp. Then they were receptive to some constructive learning afterward. We did some vocabulary building with hide and seek games followed by a body parts flip book. The older sister, after seeing how many pictures here younger sister made, was determined to at least match the count. Nice to have some sibling rivalry to motivate the learning process!

Our afternoon students had to cancel so that left it free. I took the opportunity to do some shopping at Toys R’ Us. I wanted to get some games that would benefit our students, of all age groups. One benefit about being outside the USA is that there are many knock-offs available of popular board games at a fraction of the cost of their originator. Jackpot. I bought at least seven or eight different games. Though, some of which I grew up with were in the price ranges of $75-$100!! For a board game! Inflation and import tax, I thank you. I stayed away from those money sinks and stuck to the “store brand.” From the looks of them, they probably manufactured at the same factory in China anyway.

The rest of my evening has been spent relaxing at home, playing video games, and reading my novel. Tomorrow is another half-day since my afternoon student canceled. No worries, leaves more free time to catch a movie!
