Fifty Percent Professional Fee?!

I realize that dental work is no cheap endeavor.  But given the treatments within the past couple weeks; cleaning, fillings, and root canal, I feel that I have a some grasp on the associated costs.  The most expensive so far was the root canal.  After all, the endodontist has to be knowledgeable about nerve endings and drilling into the bone structure. Plus the procedure took some where around an hour and a half.  Well this evening I saw the orthodontist for the post and cap.  Thirty minutes total in the chair. All he did was remove the temporary filling, insert a fiber post, and then fill the tooth backup with permanent cement.  His doctor fee, which amounted to FIFTY PERCENT of the bill (the other half for the procedure), was almost as much as the entire root canal.  WHAT THE FUCK.  I’m wondering if he thinks I’m some farung clod who doesn’t know the going rates.  And he conveniently spread out the treatment over three visits.  My guess is he’ll charge his exorbitant doctor fee for each one.  Think I need to shop around…

Other than getting shafted at the dentist, today wasn’t that bad.  Woke up this morning thanks to an over eager telemarketer.  Another fucker I hope gets food poisoning.  Then it was over to my old office to submit some documents.  Also the entire day has been overcast with a constant sprinkle of rain.  Too little to warrant an umbrella but enough drops to hit you in the eye.  Nice. Then it was the old BTS to MRT to Fortune trip.  Picked up about ten DVDs worth of royalty-free stock photos.  Will use them for the website and webisodes.  I wanted stock video as well but everything the shop had was from twenty years ago.

I guess that about everything. Hoping that this week brings more students… and money!
