Oh My Greece!

Today’s BIG event was attending a former student’s exhibition/seminar.  For her Cultural Management master’s degree requirements, all the students needed to put an event together to showcase their work done in Greece and Thailand.  Hence the title of this entry!  When we arrived at the university all the students were wearing togas.  Nice touch.  A little more could have been done for decorations but I understand they were working with a limited budget.  Its an interesting major and one that Thailand needs to pursue in earnest if it is to preserve the sites of historical and cultural significance in the Kingdom.  Nan and I stayed through the first half but needed to excuse ourselves for a rendezvous at Siam Square.

Our advertising partner, Centerpoint, holds an open fair for kids every Saturday.  We got permission to set up a booth in the future and hold activities if we want.  That will be a great outlet for marketing.  Nan and I just need to think of games that can be played outside, encourage participation, and highlight our school’s curriculum.  Easier said than done, I know.

As the days count down we are getting the squeeze to finish our wedding preparations.  Right now the invitations and souvenirs are at the tops of the list. Nan has found several places we can get cards made.  Its funny to think how much thought goes into choosing the right one and picking gifts that people will like.  In reality no one will remember the cards or use the gifts the next day after the wedding.  But it all adds to the experience.  And we are only doing it once, knock on wood!

Right now having difficulty finding children’s educational  software.  Especially for teaching language structures… Hmmm, perhaps a business opportunity in the making?
